Farmer Jason was born when internationally acclaimed singer-songwriter Jason Ringenberg of the punk rock/country fusion music group Jason and the Scorchers wanted to create a sing-along record for his two pre-school aged daughters to enjoy while he was away from home, touring with the band. Soon, children from all over the country were singing along, and Disney’s Family Fun magazine called the Farmer Jason album “one of the Top 5 Family CDs of 2003.” Farmer Jason is also the recipient of the Parent’s Choice Gold Award and a 2009 Emmy Award for Best Children’s Program Mid-South Region.

Cow-punk icon Jason Ringenberg (Jason And The Scorchers) brings his Emmy Award winning family show “Farmer Jason” to the Maryland Hall stage for an afternoon of infectious sing-a-longs and rockin all ages fun! And if you can imagine a legit alt-country pioneer as an electrified combination of Mister Rogers and Captain Kangaroo’s Mr. Green Jeans, you don’t want to miss this show.
